Recently, we announced the launch of the SOTA Registry — an online resource for medical volunteers for under served areas of the world. As noted, the registry will initially list global volunteers from the surgical, obstetric, trauma, and anesthesia communities for short-term volunteer work in low- and middle-income countries. If you have volunteered previously or are considering volunteering for a medical mission, please follow these steps to sign up for the SOTA Registry:
· Go to https://sotaregistry.org/
· Click on the Volunteer link at the top of the main page that will take you to the Volunteer page
· Click on the Access the Registry button and when prompted, enter your email address
You will receive an email with a link to a secure page to enter data about yourself as a volunteer. Your entry will be visible only to registered individuals and agencies seeking volunteers by clinical specialty, period of availability, country of interest, language facility, etc.
Your information is safeguarded under the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation. You will find the SOTA Privacy Policy here: https://sotaregistry.org/privacy-policy/
We hope you will join the movement to provide medical services to under served areas through the SOTA Registry. Signing up will also help to establish a fully functioning registry and help us determine how to improve it.
