Robert Amajoyi, MD, FACS, FICS, FASCRS

Robert Amajoyi, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained colorectal surgeon and serves as director of the Rectal Cancer Program at Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute. Dr. Amajoyi provides evidence-based clinical and surgical care at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City, Saint Luke’s East Hospital, and Saint Luke’s South Hospital. He provides holistic surgical care and specializes in treating anal dysplasia; rectal, colon, and anal cancer; sigmoid diverticulitis; rectal prolapse; surgery for Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis; J-pouch surgery; re-do rectal surgery; and re-operative abdominal and pelvic surgery. An active participant in research and advancing colorectal surgery, Dr. Amajoyi has authored many articles, book chapters, abstracts, and reviews. He is a leader in his field, presenting scientific talks at local, national, and international meetings.

His clinical interests include robotic and minimally invasive rectal cancer surgery; multidisciplinary rectal cancer care; colon cancer surgery; organ preserving transanal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS); multivisceral pelvic organ resection surgery; and providing care to the underserved, such as the LGBTQ community.

Dr. Amajoyi is also the ICSUS Specialty Group Chair of Colorectal Surgery and a Regent.

When he is not performing surgery, mentoring others, or volunteering, Dr. Amajoyi can be found spending time with his family on the soccer field.

Izi Obokhare, MD, FACS

Dr. Izi Obokhare is a Board-Certified General Surgeon and a Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons. He also has additional qualifications in Colorectal Surgery, advanced laparoscopic robotic and endoscopic surgery. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Minimal Invasive Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center located in Amarillo Texas. He received his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C., and completed a General Surgery Residency at the University Hospitals of Cleveland – Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland OH. He finished a research fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery Research at the Ochsner clinic New Orleans where he obtained additional training in the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant diseases of colon, rectum, and anus.

He has a special interest in reaching the underserved population in the Texas Panhandle and serves as the principal investigator for the state supported CPRIT grant of Over 5 million Dollars providing free colorectal cancer screening for the uninsured and underinsured residents in the Northwest Texas. He is also interested in cutting edge state-of-the-art minimally invasive techniques and approaches to anorectal tumors such as robotic surgery, trans-anal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS), and laparoscopic colectomy for colon cancer, familial colon cancer syndromes, diverticulitis, colonic inertia and ulcerative colitis. Dr. Obokhare is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery, the International College of Surgeons and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. In addition to the numerous leadership, academic and scholarship awards he has received, Dr. Obokhare has presented his research at several scientific meetings and given multiple podium presentation. His research manuscripts have been published in several peer reviewed medical journals. He lives in Texas with his wife Dr. Joy Obokhare an ENT and Facial Plastics surgeon and his three lovely children.

Erin King-Mullins, MD, FACS, FASCRS

Dr. Erin King-Mullins is a double board-certified general and colorectal surgeon. She graduated summa cum laude from Xavier University of Louisiana. After obtaining her medical degree at Emory University in Atlanta, she completed her internship and residency in general surgery at the Orlando Regional Medical Center in Florida. Her fellowship training in colorectal surgery at Georgia Colon & Rectal Surgical Associates concluded with her joining the practice and serving as Faculty/Research Director for the fellowship program until her transition into private practice with Colorectal Wellness Center. She has a husband with whom she shares an amazing, blended family of 4 daughters. The kids keep them pretty busy, but their favorite times are spent on warm sunny beaches.

Philip Kondylis, MD, FACS, FASCRS

Dr. Philip Kondylis obtained his undergraduate degree from Northeastern University in Boston.  He graduated medical school from the University of Massachusetts before completing his General Surgery Residency at Yale University in New Haven, CT.   Dr. Kondylis completed his Colorectal Surgery Residency training at Saint Vincent Health Center in Erie, PA.  He then returned to his training program and served as a core faculty member, Research Director, and ultimately Program Director for the Colorectal Surgery Residency Program during his 12 year tenure. He subsequently originated and has served as the Greater Orlando Consortium Surgery Program Director for the last 6 years.

Victor Cabrera Bou, MD

Dr. Victor Cabrera Bou was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1990. He completed high school in Puerto Rico in 2009. In 2014, Victor Cabrera Bou obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology with the honorific grade of Magna Cum Laude at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus. He subsequently continued his medical education at Universidad Central del Caribe where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2019. Dr. Cabrera Bou is currently performing in his fourth year as a general surgery resident in UCF/ HCA Florida Osceola. During his past 3 years he has achieved multiple oral and poster research presentations and in process for research publications.
