Over 30% of adults in the United States are over-weight. Obesity increases the risk of mortality in general and especially from cardiovascular disease in both men and women. This webinar will provide an update on metabolic surgery that includes the advent of Anti Obesity Medications (AOMs). Included will be a comprehensive review and analysis of the causes of weight gain as well as a number of options for obesity treatment that include both surgical and non-surgical considerations. A history of weight reduction treatment options will also be included. Upon completion of the webinar, participants will have a better understanding of the causes of obesity as well as the treatment options available. Participants will also have a better understanding of additional tools that will provide patients with a greater opportunity for successful weight loss.
